In an interaction with NCN, Mr Lynn Wang, CEO, TP-Link India & SAARC, shares their company’s market strategy and mission for the Indian market.
- What trends do you see currently in the networking space in India?
The Government’s initiative of ‘Digital India’ is seen to positively influence India’s networking market in India, promoting the growth of public infrastructure digitization, enterprise spending in telecom and banking segments. Digitization needs an enhanced, agile & efficient networking infrastructure to fulfill the requirements of high bandwidth consumption, cloud-based applications and growing mobile enterprise.
- How is TP-Link performing in this space?
As a global leader in WLAN markets, TP-Link is fully committed to developing home & business networking solutions and services for consumers, service providers, and partners, embracing the process of innovation through technology. TP-Link India provides reliable Ethernet Switches and Routers contributing a major share in the networking space in India. By offering innovative products and cost-effective networking solutions to our channel partners, TP-Link empowers them to spearhead the networking revolution in India.
- Could you describe your successful journey in the Indian market?
TP-Link entered the Indian market about a decade ago and since then has come a long way with the exceptional support of our partners and the reliable trust of consumers. TP-Link has been able to create a stable growth environment for its partners and consumers offering a variety of reliable products at cost-effective pricing to reach into different segments of the networking industry. We as a team always strive to strengthen our connected partners, and this has enabled us to be amongst the top players in the Indian market at a faster pace and maintain the growth even in the toughest time for the networking industry.
- What investment plans do you have in mind to boost TP-Link’s presence in India?
Traditional channel partners are our strongest part of the overall ecosystem. TP-Link has a wide product portfolio from where partners can choose to invest their efforts and money to earn better. We provide the most reliable service-support to customers through a number of touch-points and then we have our toll-free technical support where we provide assistance whenever called for. Currently, TP-Link has 9 brand-owned service centers across India and 30 plus service locations through our national partners and will continue to improvise in the coming times. We continue to offer promotional schemes and incentive programs for our Channel Partners, empowering them to establish a profitable business.
- What channel strategies do you have in mind for VARs (value-added resellers) and SIs (system integrators)?
The TP-Link Partner Program provides essential resources exclusively to VARs and SIs to accelerate their sales cycle and help them grow their businesses. Our redesigned pricing structure simplifies the way they do business with us. The VARs and SIs can access our Partner Portal to get better deals and the tailored support from our team by registering there. TP-Link has designed the Partner Program to reward loyalty and help the VARs and SIs to grow their overall business.
- For SMBs and large enterprises, what new solutions and technology are expected from TP-Link?
Identifying the growing need for smarter and reliable networks, we are coming up with the latest Wi-Fi AX Series technology in the Business Wireless segment. And to meet the requirements generated by the rapidly growing IP surveillance market, we have launched the long-range PoE switches to cater to the surveillance segment.
- What is the overall roadmap of TP-Link to escalate the growth further in 2020? On what specific products are you focusing in 2020?
Our new introductions, like the Home Security Camera, Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Solution, Business Wi-Fi Solutions, will contribute to a large-scale to grow our business in the near future. We are launching our all-new range of OMADA Software Defined Network (SDN) integrating Access Points, Switches, Gateways & Controllers providing 100% centralized cloud management to create a Smart and Highly Scalable network to fulfill the needs of Business Wi-Fi solutions in the near future.
- What are your future plans for the Indian market?
