ViewSonic monitor/display sector specializes in reaching out to many communities and professions through various product segments, which are supported by research and in-depth analysis of user feedback and demands. It is the only company in the visual-solution industry that is catering to a variety of users and their needs through its high-quality product ranges. The key product segments of the brand consist of the Elite gaming series catering to the vast gaming community providing them with superior quality and immersive gaming experience. We recently added another gaming monitor in their Elite series, XG270Q which has received higly positive response from gaming enthusiasts and the ELITE series continues to be one of the most reliable monitors amongst avid gamers. Our professional home desktop range is designed keeping in mind the multimedia use from work and entertainment. This versatile monitor is equipped with premium panels, enhanced viewing comfort and is designed according to the current trends and designs to match with the home aesthetics. The VX series offers superior screen performance for a quality viewing experience as well as promoting a smooth working experience for all the professionals working from home. The Pantone-approved professional monitors from ViewSonic are particularly created and curated to match the rigorous color requirements of photographers, graphic designers, video editors, print departments, and other design professionals, as well as to enhance the productivity. What growth opportunities have you witnessed during the pandemic?
ViewSonic observed a significant growth across segments in the past year in spite of the pandemic. As a majority of people shifted to the virtual world – working from home, online classes, online meetups, etc, there has been a huge demand for devices with collaborative features. The touch screen monitors (along with ViewBoard software), video conferencing monitors and 21:9 widescreen monitors for multitasking were thriving amongst the users. Additionally, from users with a slim/sleek laptop, there was a huge surge in requests for USB cables which help in quick charging and smooth multitasking.
Elaborate on your strategic alliance with Croma Stores
Observing an overwhelming response for the monitors due to the increase in work from home, entertainment and multitasking scenarios, there was a need to expand the reach in the offline market to garner more interest from the end-users. We recently increased our footprint in PAN India by launching the monitor segment in all TATA Croma stores, the Tata Group’s first and leading omnichannel electronics retailer. We’ve always intended to provide our customers with a hands-on, comprehensive experience with most of our monitors, and Croma stores across India are making that possible. With this agreement, we will emphasize on delivering our most recent and comprehensive range of monitors, as well as excellent discounts for our discerning clientele. This collaboration will have a substantial impact on our sales and growth. We are hopeful that with Croma, we will fill a substantial vacuum in the consumers’ purchasing experience, who are increasingly exhibiting an interest in ViewSonic’s product line. The complete range of ViewSonic monitors from gaming to work-from-home solutions is available at Croma stores across India. In addition, the brand will also be offering a Targus keyboard and mouse bundled worth INR 3999 to all its buyers, the offer will be applicable for all Croma stores.
ViewSonic India has collaborated with Ingram Micro in LCD Division. What benefits do you expect from this association?
Our relationship with Ingram MICRO LCD division enables us to reach and expand our retailers through a single partner, Ingram Micro. This smooth collaboration with a leading powerhouse has added an additional benefit to ViewSonic India’s long-term business growth and prospects. This solitary partner eased the distribution process benefiting both the companies and is providing an opportunity to offer LCD monitors to our channel partners. It complements our existing portfolio. The best-in-class products from ViewSonic and Ingram Micro’s wide channel footprint will continue to be mutually beneficial to both the organizations and together we hope to continue giving the best display solution to the Indian consumer & commercial customers.
During the crisis how do you manage the channel partners?
The most exciting aspect of modern life is the advancement of technology. ViewSonic’s power-play app always kept them in touch with its channel partners and dealers. ViewSonic is the first player in the industry to introduce and launch an app for their authorized IT dealers in India where they get access to exclusive deals and additional benefits, quality training modules for improving the overall business and the app paved a path for a contactless, real-time convenience with instant benefit and connected the fraternity throughout the lockdown/crisis days.
How has the company boosted sales while revamping in the monitor Industry?
In recent times, a large number of people shifted to ‘working from home’ and with the rising of home entertainment & virtual communication, thereby creating a huge demand for collaborative tools like video conferencing, professional monitors, upgraded mobile devices. ViewSonic monitors aim to cater to the needs of all segments of the people along with incorporating necessary technology upgrades and the introduction of newer technology in their product range to the Indian users. With the sole motive of catering to the needs of all segments of the people, ViewSonic focused on understanding their user’s needs and demands, delivering a high-class user experience and quick customer care.
Discuss the role you have in mind for the coming year.
In 2022, using lessons we’ve learned over the years, we hope to become a one-stop-shop for all display solutions that cater to a wide range of demographics. We intend to increase our innovation and research in designing monitors to meet changing user needs for desired specs and quality displays. We closed 2021 by introducing the XG270Q gaming monitor, an addition to our Elite gaming line, and the VP2468a ColorPro monitor, both of which have contributed to the expansion of our customer base, and we are hopeful that 2022 will help us get one step closer to our goal.
