TP-Link is a global provider of reliable networking devices and smart home products, consistently ranked as the world’s top provider of Wi-Fi devices.

In an interaction with NCN Magazine, Mr. Jesuraja Nadar, DGM-Presales – Surveillance & SOHO Networking, TP-Link highlights their innovative surveillance products, AI integration, and “Make in India” progress.

What are TP-Link’s latest innovations in the surveillance industry?

We’re excited to introduce a range of new products that extend our portfolio beyond networking. Our first product is a security camera with solar panel along with battery which offers up to 180 days of backup. It also features a one-touch configuration, making setup incredibly simple.

In addition, we have launched a dual-based router with Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, which is a significant step forward in connectivity. Another highlight is our new flat detector light which detects any intrusion and responds by activating lights to alert users.

We’re also proud to showcase our new Wi-Fi NVR, which supports dual LAN ports and is compatible with third-party cameras from any brand. Lastly, we have launched a 5G router that allows you to connect Wi-Fi-based products, including NVRs, to a 5G network.

How is AI integrated into your surveillance solutions?

AI plays a significant role in some of our products. For example, we’ve integrated alarm-based detection in our surveillance systems which can detect human movement, loitering, or moving vehicles within a particular lane. These detections are displayed in real-time, which adds another layer of security and efficiency to our solutions.

How is TP-Link aligning its manufacturing processes with the ‘Make in India’ initiative?

We’re fully committed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Our process is well underway, and while the STQC (Standardization Testing and Quality Certification) process is still ongoing, we are actively working towards it. We have already started manufacturing in India, and we are confident that we’ll see further progress with the certification in due time.

What response have you received at this year’s IFSEC expo?

The response at the expo has been overwhelmingly positive. We’ve had a great reception, particularly for our new product launches, such as the solar panels, panoramic cameras, 360-degree cameras, and the new Wi-Fi NVR. People were especially excited to learn that TP-Link, traditionally known for routers, is now expanding into the surveillance industry. It’s been a great platform to showcase the versatility and innovation of our products.

What are your plans for 2025?

For 2025, we have some exciting plans in store. We will be launching our 64-channel NVR and the 128-channel NVR, which will cater to larger surveillance setups. Additionally, we’ll be introducing an upgraded version of our solar panel that can connect up to three cameras with a backup of 1-3 days. We aim to release these products in the second quarter of 2025.

Who are your main competitors in the surveillance industry?

The surveillance industry is highly competitive, and there are many competitors in this space. However, we take inspiration from them and continuously strive to improve. Our goal is to differentiate ourselves with unique features and innovations that meet the evolving needs of the market. We are steadily growing and learning from the competition, making our products stand out with innovative solutions and excellent performance.
