SR Infotech – torch bearer for Geonix in Chhattisgarh

SR Infotech (established in 2019), is a fast-growing ICT Distributor in Chhattisgarh and a key Partner of Geonix within the state. Led by young dynamic entrepreneur, Sumit Dhameja, SR Infotech has registered impressive YOY growth since inception, and enjoys a relatively large partner base in in Raipur, Bhilai, Bilaspur and several other towns within Chhattisgarh (an economically burgeoning state). Geonix is a rising star in the IT hardware industry, and a leading provider of digital storage products, computer peripherals, IT components, gaming products and more.

In a recent interview with our correspondent, Dhameja chronicled his entrepreneurial journey thus far, his strong partnership with the Geonix brand and future expansion plans for the brand.

Q1) Please give us a synopsis of your business operations and reach

I started SR Infotech as a partnership firm with my brother, Ravi Dhameja, in 2019. We started modestly, but over time, we’ve grown significantly, adding several products and sub-categories to our portfolio. Our partnership with Geonix started in 2022 which has flourished over the last 3 years. Geonix provides products with excellent quality and the brand has been very cooperative. Together we have been able to fortify the brand’s presence in the greater Raipur market, and across the state. Jointly we have grown steadily during the past half-decade or so. We now have a partner network (reach) of approximately 400 dealers.

Q2) How is your partnership with Geonix progressing?

The Geonix team has been very supportive towards us which has been invaluable for our business growth. Under the Brand’s tutelage and guidance, we have been able to steer the ship and develop our business. We continue to be motivated by their knowledge and attention to detail. Geonix provides us high quality products, excellent after-sales support, and a steady inflow of relevant and trendy ICT products. We are happy to pass-on all advantages to our Dealers and Retailers. In an industry where tastes, preferences and the wider landscape keeps shifting, Geonix has a knack of cherry-picking the most relevant and desirable products. That’s what motivates us to remain a steadfast partner of Geonix. In 2025, we will focus more on distributing Geonix’s upcoming gaming products, Monitors, storage products and new range of toner cartridges. Earlier most of our clients come from Raipur and Bhilai, but in the last 24 months, we have expanded the Geonix network to several Tier2 cities and upcountry. We plan to expand our reach further in the coming years.

Q3) Are there any challenges you are facing, such as competition?

Competition is always a part of any business, as new brands keep entering the market. We do not shy away from it, indeed to some extent we embrace it. Healthy competition helps a brand on its toes and motivates it to raise the bar; that how consumers benefit. Geonix has seen excellent growth in the past years despite competition and challenges. For ICT traders (B2B network) it’s the best choice. In the coming years, we want to see Geonix reaching new levels in IT and gaming peripherals market in India.

Q4) What are your goals for 2025 and beyond?

Geonix has launched many Gaming Products in last six months, and plans to launch more in the coming months. We want to focus on this new range in 2025 (in addition to the earlier SKUs ofcourse). We aim to build a stronger presence for Geonix in the fast-growing gaming peripherals market.

Moreover, the Chhattisgarh’s economy is steadily growing, with both industrial and agricultural output rising sharply in the last few years. I see much deeper exposure to ICT led technologies these days. Projects and consultancies are all mushrooming. We Chhattisgarhi’s provide electricity, coal, and steel to the whole nation; and all these items have insatiable demand. So our State’s economy is certain to burgeon.  In such a scenario, we see the possibility of expanding the brand’s reach and scope. In the coming years, Geonix and we together, aim to penetrate further in the Chhattisgarh market and be part of the growth story. We are strengthening our business partnership, by stocking products that have been newly incorporated in Geonix’s portfolio. We are confident at we can cross new milestones together, in a way that is mutually beneficial and synergistic.
