At the Opening Keynote of COMPUTEX 2026, Mr. Cristiano Amon, President & CEO, Qualcomm Incorporated, presented a bold vision for the next era of computing, where Agentic AI becomes the center of the digital ecosystem, transforming how people interact with devices, applications, and the connected world.
During his keynote, Mr. Amon highlighted that AI is no longer limited to assisting users—it is evolving into intelligent agents capable of understanding context, managing tasks, making decisions, and acting proactively across multiple devices. He explained that the future digital experience will no longer revolve around smartphones alone. Instead, AI agents will become the primary interface, seamlessly connecting smartphones, PCs, wearables, vehicles, and emerging personal AI devices.
Emphasizing the scale of this transformation, Mr. Amon noted that billions of connected devices worldwide will require a new generation of computing platforms designed specifically for Agentic AI. These platforms must deliver high-performance processing, ultra-low latency, advanced sensing capabilities, and exceptional power efficiency to support always-on intelligent experiences.
Qualcomm showcased how its Snapdragon-powered ecosystem is enabling AI agents to operate across phones, PCs, personal AI devices, connected vehicles, and robotics applications. According to Mr. Amon, AI will play a pivotal role in enhancing user experiences, powering autonomous systems, and enabling real-time decision-making in industries ranging from mobility and manufacturing to smart infrastructure.
A key focus of the keynote was Qualcomm’s vision for 6G, which Mr. Amon described as the first wireless generation built for the AI era. He outlined three foundational pillars of 6G—connectivity, distributed computing, and sensing—which will help support the massive computing demands generated by AI-driven applications and intelligent agents.
Addressing the growing need for AI processing power, Mr. Amon revealed Qualcomm’s new data center product brand, Dragonwing, designed to support hyperscalers and enterprise deployments as global AI token demand continues to surge. He emphasized that Qualcomm’s expanding portfolio now spans the entire compute continuum—from ultra-low-power edge devices to high-performance data center infrastructure.
Concluding his keynote, Mr. Amon stated that Agentic AI is no longer a future concept but a present reality that will drive one of the industry’s largest technology upgrade cycles. He reaffirmed Qualcomm’s commitment to delivering the platforms, connectivity, and intelligence needed to shape the next generation of computing experiences across every device and industry.
