Accenture announced that Sanjay Podder, managing director of Accenture Labs in Bangalore, India, has been selected as an Eisenhower Fellow(EF) in recognition of his exceptional leadership in driving innovation for Accenture and its clients. As part of EF’s Fall Global Program, which includes 20 other leaders from business, government and civil society from the Middle East and South Asia, Podder will embark on a six-week fellowship in the United States to engage in a transformative exchange of knowledge and ideas.

With responsibility for developing innovative Tech4Good initiatives at Accenture Labs that are focused on solving complex social problems through the use of technology, Podder’s objective while in the U.S. is to conduct research related to scaling the impact of such programs. Through conversations with leaders in academia, business and non-profit organizations around the country, Podder will explore the best practices and essential elements of successful Tech4Good programs, as well as the challenges associated with implementing such projects. Part of Podder’s focus will also include examining how artificial intelligence (AI) will transform business, including how the responsible adoption of AI and AI4Good initiatives can successfully benefit the workforce, the economy, and society as a whole.
“As technology becomes the new global language, it’s critical that we put its power to work to improve the way the world works and lives. As one of Accenture’s leading technology innovators, Sanjay has led Accenture Labs Tech4Good projects to new levels, applying the latest disruptive technologies in unique ways to help solve critical challenges faced by business and society,” said Marc Carrel-Billiard, senior managing director, Accenture Labs. “The Eisenhower Fellowship is well-deserved recognition of Sanjay’s leadership in the technology industry, and he will use this opportunity to further expand the impact of Accenture Tech4Good programs.”
