R&M is further increasing the packing density of copper cabling in 19″ racks. Now, a patch panel for data centers has been created which accommodates 48 ports of the highest category, Cat. 6A ISO, on a single height unit (1 U). R&M has facilitated the assembly and disassembly of the RJ45 modules. They can be unlocked on the front. In addition to the connection modules for copper cabling, the new 48 port patch panel can also accommodate fiber-optic connections. R&M provides adapters for LC Duplex and SC Simplex adapters. The diverse possible uses of the patch panel result in a number of economic advantages for users, emphasizes R&M. The panel is suitable both for data centers and for highly densified distributors in structured cabling systems. R&M supplies shielded and unshielded versions.

One new development is the cable routing. The reusable plastic holder with flexible lugs can be attached to the back carrier in next to no time. The cables are clicked into the lugs and can be clicked back out again just as easily. This does away with the need for cable ties and also reduces the time involved in maintenance jobs.

Colored labels and security modules fit in the plastic front for error-free management of the patch panels. R&M provides color-coded and mechanically protecting guards and locks. The blind covers can be turned and used again together with label fields. The sensor strips of the infrastructure management system R&M inteliPhy can also be attached. The front also offers space for the customer’s company logo.
