Hallwaze Inc. a provider of a cloud based rich, interactive social collaboration & messaging platform for enterprises, announces the expansion of its business in India. Hallwaze has got a lot of traction in the North American market with its ability to simplify and untangle the communication clutter in large enterprises. In an interaction with Saif Ahmad, Founding CEO- Hallwaze about the trend of ESN solution and company’s initiative on this front.
What is the current scenario of Enterprise Social Networking (ESN) solution and where you placed your brand in the race?
Given the scenario that the millennials constitutes a large portion of the Indian workforce, today’s communication platform should be something exclusive and beyond just being social. We have designed Hallwaze in such a manner that it weaves in a multi- channel organizational communication in a single thread to provide an interactive platform while ensuring transparency. Moreover, the platform ensures that itprovides right information to the right people at the right time with its contextual intelligence. Intelligence is something that differentiates one platform from others. However, in Hallwaze’s case it is the intelligence coupled with simplicity that has helped the platform gain popularity.
Most large enterprise software players have made some initial bet on either the collaboration or the social side. Do you think the collaboration and social solutions markets have gone mainstream within large and mid-sized enterprises? Please explain it briefly?
With now youth holding a major share of global workforce, it has become imperative for the organizations to explore new channels to be able to remain relevant for this category in terms of their communication approach. We all are aware of the fact that unlike the previous generations, today’s workforce is volatile and is on a constant look out for better opportunities. In such context, there is a rising concern amongst every other Human Resource department on the growing level of attrition. Platforms such as Hallwaze are helping these organizations address the need of an effective and interactive communication channel that covers every ladder of the organization. The platforms have gained momentum over the years and will soon become mainstream with the kind of opportunities they provide.
What are the key trends which will have a significant impact in shaping the evolution of the ESN market?
Growing realization among companies to stay relevant for their employees, adoption of mobility at workplace, surging mobile internet usage are some of the trends that would have an impact on the ESN market. Moreover, the market is now becoming responsive towards the evolving consumers’ communications need. As a result we have seen the incumbents facing tough competition from the new players that have designed and based their platforms basis the thorough research and feedback of companies.
Hallwaze has just announced the Indian expansion plan. What are your approaches to capture the Indian market?
As compared to the US market where enterprises are keen on leveraging such social platform to bring in transparency and build an open environment; the Indian market has a mixed mindset. Hallwaze is positioning itself as the new way to work in the super dynamic business in India. We are in constant dialogue with various organizations in terms of how can we help them create a rich communication platform that can help them achieve their organizational goals. We have not restricted ourselves to just the top organizations. We are also engaging with the SME and individual employees and educating them about our platform. In this short span of time, the India has been productive and we are working towards increasing our operational and product efficiency in the country.
Keeping the various consumer verticals in mind, are you bringing any new solution in the near future?
Technology is one space that keeps adding new facets to keep up with the changing consumer demands. We are in a business that involves people who are young and dynamic and might belong to different cultures. Our team and platform understands this important element and therefore keep evolving themselves to address the changing dynamics.
