Trade association of Information technology (TAIT) requests to Maharashtra CM, Shri Uddhav Thackeray, to Permit IT Services and Equipment Providers to operate during the lockdown.
Due to lockdown, this Supply of Spares, Equipment and thus services are disturbed and it is affecting every individual. In such a situation those who are taking risk and doing such job illegally are charging heavily and providing services under some or other pretext. With this background, we earnestly request you to allow All IT Trade activity to operate in limited environment / Limited Hours with all the prescribed care and caution, which will enable economy to limp back to normal in ‘work from home’ age. As logistical services are easily available and many other manufacturing, health care and finance sector is operating at normal, IT services and supply would be of immense importance.
They have raised the issue that while all other Non-Essential businesses and shops are closed, E-Commerce Giants are smoothly delivering any products whatsoever which is outright objectionable, and request state government to look into such anomalies.
TAIT, India’s Leading IT Association, since last 25 Years have around 450 Members, Who are having their businesses in Mumbai and are Life line of IT Trade and Services for Not only Mumbai but entire India.
According to Mr Samir Parekh, President, TAIT, “Due to the lockdown, a lot of our services are hampered as a result GST is hampered. Hence we have requested Mr Thackeray to permit some time slots as in 1PM – 5Pm to run the smooth running of business. This way the genuine people will be benefitted.”

Lockdown has distressed all businesses and disturbed personal life of Owners as well as staff of all MSMEs. IT services are certainly essential for smooth operations of Health Care, Banking, Education, Judiciary and all other verticals for day to day life.
