Net Protector Antivirus, by Biz Secure Labs Private Limited, delivers trusted, India-focused cybersecurity solutions protecting businesses and users from evolving digital threats. During an exclusive interaction with NCN Magazine, Ms. Preeti Kela, Director, Net Protector Antivirus, shares insights into cybersecurity, AI-driven threats, data protection, innovation, and India-focused security solutions.
How has Net Protector Antivirus evolved throughout its three-decade cybersecurity journey?
We have been working in cybersecurity for the last 33 years, with Net Protector Antivirus as our flagship product, proudly developed in India. Throughout this journey, our primary focus has been zero-day virus detection—identifying and addressing new threats as quickly as possible.
However, cybersecurity has changed significantly. Earlier, the primary objective was simply virus detection and removal. Today, organizations need much broader protection covering devices, data, identities, applications, and the entire digital infrastructure. We have evolved along with these changing requirements.
How has the rise of AI changed the cybersecurity threat landscape?
AI has significantly changed the nature and scale of cyber threats. Attackers can now use advanced technologies to make attacks faster, more sophisticated, and harder to identify. The threat ratio has increased dramatically, and organizations can no longer depend only on traditional antivirus protection. Cybersecurity today requires continuous monitoring, advanced detection, data protection, identity security, and rapid response. Organizations need to be prepared for threats that can emerge at any time.
How is Net Protector addressing the growing cybersecurity requirements of enterprises?
To address the changing needs of organizations, we have introduced our enterprise-focused Krypton product range. It goes beyond traditional antivirus and provides solutions designed for the broader cybersecurity requirements of modern enterprises.
Our portfolio includes Krypton Enterprise Backup, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Mobile Device Management (MDM), Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), firewall solutions, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions. The objective is to provide organizations with multiple layers of protection so they can secure their digital infrastructure more effectively.
What solutions is Net Protector offering to strengthen data protection and privacy?
Data security is now one of the most important aspects of cybersecurity. Our Krypton Enterprise Backup solution enables organizations to securely save and protect their data on Indian servers. We have also introduced a comprehensive DPDP solution designed to help organizations address requirements related to India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework. It provides an end-to-end approach to managing data protection and privacy requirements.
Another important area is Data Loss Prevention. Our AI DLP solution is designed to help organizations prevent sensitive information from being leaked through AI-based tools and applications. As the use of AI continues to grow, protecting organizational data from unintended exposure will become increasingly important.
What role does AI play in your cybersecurity strategy?
AI is becoming an essential part of cybersecurity. We have developed AI Insight DLP to address the emerging risks associated with AI and data usage. Organizations are increasingly using AI in their daily operations, but they also need to ensure that sensitive information does not leave their secure environment. Our approach is to use technology to help organizations adopt AI while maintaining better control over their data.
How does Net Protector’s strengthened Indian infrastructure benefit its customers?
We have established a new office and data center in Gandhinagar’s GIFT City. This strengthens our ability to provide solutions where organizational data can be stored and protected within India. For Indian organizations, data sovereignty, security, and trust are becoming increasingly important. Having infrastructure within India allows us to support these requirements while strengthening our commitment to developing and delivering cybersecurity solutions from India.
What is your broader vision for Net Protector?
Our ultimate goal is to help Indian organizations become more secure, protect Indian data, and build greater resilience against cyber threats. We want organizations to become more self-reliant in an increasingly digital world. As an Indian cybersecurity company, we are proud of what we have built over the past 33 years. Our vision is simple: we are Indian, and being Indian, we want to protect India. We are Net Protector—protecting the nation through cybersecurity.
