The E-Cell of NES Ratnam College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai, successfully hosted its milestone 10th Startup Fest, marking a decade of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and student-led technological advancement. The event was graced by Mr. Debraj Dam, Chief of VAD, Supertron VAD Venture, who attended as the Guest of Honor.

Celebrating ten years of innovation and mentorship, the Startup Fest highlighted the remarkable journey of the institution’s E-Cell, which began as a small initiative in 2013 and has since evolved into a robust platform supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. The event reflected the growing strength of Maharashtra’s startup ecosystem, supported by MSME initiatives and academic collaboration.


Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dam commended the institution’s leadership and the visionary role of Dr. R. Varadarajan in nurturing innovation among students. He emphasized the importance of resilience, mentorship, and structured support systems in building successful startup ecosystems.
One of the key highlights of the fest was the showcase of cutting-edge student prototypes developed at the Ratnam Centre of Excellence in IoT and the AI Center. The quality of startup pitches and technical innovation demonstrated a significant leap from earlier editions, reflecting the institution’s commitment to future-ready skills.
The 10th Startup Fest also underscored the importance of industry-academia collaboration, providing young innovators with the right platform, mentorship, and exposure to transform ideas into viable ventures.
As NES Ratnam College celebrates this important milestone, the institution reaffirmed its vision of empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and contributing to India’s growing innovation-driven economy.
