NComputing announced NComputing oneSpace, a new unified workspace solution that enables IT to unify and securely deliver applications and files as a service to a variety of devices, including iPads and Android tablets.

This solution is currently in a select customer private beta. NComputing will open access to a public beta in early spring of 2014.
Small and mid-sized organizations (SMBs) are experiencing rapid expansion of mobile device use in the workplace, thanks to an on-the-go workforce and today’s Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) trend. According to an NComputing-sponsored survey of SMB IT professionals on mobility trends to be released next month, 83 percent of respondents believe that making business applications and data available on mobile devices would have a high or medium impact on their business. Yet 86 percent acknowledge that there are challenges with giving mobile employees access to Windows applications on their mobile devices.

Users can also universally search for files across all their file stores to easily find and access their files, and “favorite” files for offline use. Since all file shares are accessed within the oneSpace unified workspace, user demands and IT requirements are both satisfied.
