Mr. Sanjoy Bhattacharya, who is Sales & Marketing Director – IT Business India at ViewSonic, was diagnosed with APLA syndrome in October 2021. This rare autoimmune disease resulted in blood clots in his leg. To release the pressure resulting from the one-way flow of blood, Sanjoy’s Doctors made incisions in his right leg which did not heal leading to gangrene and subsequent amputation of his leg. The disease has further affected his health and he also had a stroke leading to partial paralysis of the right-hand side of his body. The continued hospitalization and medical procedures have cost heavily and his family is in urgent need of funds to let him pay his medical bills and save his life as well as post-hospitalization rehab expenses, which are about 1-2 lakhs per day. Friends, colleagues have pitched in already but the expenses are too heavy. Sanjoy is one amongst us.
