The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), in partnership with the Telangana Government, announces its much anticipated and premier Xperience AI Virtual summit. Kickstarting today, the core theme of this year’s summit is AI – Augmenting India’s revival, potential & growth.
Scheduled from 1st -4th September, 2020, the four days summit will bring together industry stalwarts such as Andrew Ng, Founder & CEO, Landing.AI; Howard Yu, Lego Professor, IMD; Nigel Wilson, Influencer and Advisor on AI; Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, MEITY; Prof Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor, Dr Indu Bhushan, CEO, Ayushman Bharat along with global leaders, leading practitioners, research organizations, entrepreneurs, & policy makers from across different countries to deliberate on the critical role of artificial intelligence in revival, & growth of businesses & economies.
Speaking on the occasion, Debjani Ghosh, President, NASSCOM, said, “The Xperience AI Summit being organised by NASSCOM in partnership with the Telangana Year of AI aims to set a roadmap for India and the state to build and scale AI to augment growth and recovery for the economy. Data and AI can unlock USD 500 billion value for the economy and it is critical that we put all the key building blocks in place for this. Through deeptech workshops, conversations and keynotes, the summit will aim to address these key enablers and identify specific recommendations”.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of State of Telangana said, “we have announced 2020 as the year of AI for the state and are delighted to partner with NASSCOM in hosting this summit. The Telangana AI mission has identified a six pronged strategy that focuses on data, skilling, research and innovation, adoption of AI, responsible AI and enabling funding, Our focus is to explore the inclusive nature of AI to use the technology for social good. The priority sectors are agriculture, healthcare, education, law enforcement and mobility. The XperienceAI summit brings together many global and Indian leaders and will be a good platform for the state to build on the AI mission with NASSCOM”
The four-day-long virtual summit will witness engaging discussions on AI thought leadership, global best practices, AI advancements and strategies to scale as well as implications for India. The summit will also aim to showcase real time use cases of AI adoption across sectors, key enablers & imperatives. Engage, via virtual masterclass, hands on training workshops and knowledge sessions, India’s digital talent pool and drive discussion on AI enabling Education, the need to strengthen R&D ecosystem, policy change imperatives and the need for a progressive framework and the responsible AI.
