In an interaction with NCN, Mr. Gaurav Mathur, Director of Lexar Co Limited, shares their brand policy, product plans and future roadmap. Please Discuss the scope in the memory space?
Lexar is a seasoned brand (25 + years in memory and flash) that specializes in providing the best technology for the industry. Today, data requirements have increased as a result of people using larger files, increased gaming activiities, and the demand for faster storage solutions by the recent generations. Storage solutions based on SSDs are some of the most efficient and fast in the market. SSDs have become more and more popular. Next, nowadays, everything is shifting to online, be it gaming or documentation for government services. It is very important for any company to maintain accurate records and collect the data and storing data, helps to keep it safe and secure. Hence, the future holds unprecedented future opportunities for data storage solutions.
What innovations are you likely come up with?
We try to make technology more advanced with each passing day. Data localization has made its more easy to protect the data by limiting its flow from one country to another. Since, memory cards such as CFexpress and SD/ Micro SD cards, USB flash drives, SSD and DRAMs are critical components for the IT sector, we are working hard to produce the best of these products and make them available on a large scale. We want to expand the Lexar’s market share by enhancing the product availability not only in metro cities but also in Tier 1 and 2 cities, by improving distribution and increasing the number of service centres.
Explain your association with Creative Newtech as your National Distributor.
Our objective is to expand our reach pan India and to reach even the smaller cities. Creative Newtech, which is now our ND in India, is one of the leading distributors of IT and imaging products. Along with strong channel presence pan india, Creative Newtech has also given us presence in LFR and ecommerce verticals. With its strong involvement in the distribution of IT/Photography industry, Creative Newtech has the potential to expand our reach even to the smaller towns and wider masses.
How do you educate and motivate your partners?
Lexar has very strong presence online (social media) Instagram/Facebook /Youtube (with over 10k followers and growing) and our PR partner Advent is doing a wonderful job in promoting our brand and products. We keep our channel partners updated via online (through social media) and offline (through meets and conferences) regarding the existing and new product updates. We have been taking partners to a lot of local exhibitions/fairs and plan to start dealer meets all across india in order to interact face to face with the channel partners. In order to incentivize and motivate our partners, we come up with a lot of dealer schemes and we are planning more loyalty programmes in near future.
What partner schemes have you launched for the festive season and what is the response from the partners?
Currently, we have our Diwali Mega Giveaway Event going on our Instagram and Facebook wherein dealers just need to buy any 20 pcs of Lexar products and they’ll get the Golden Entry Ticket for a chance to win 43-in TVs, Washing Machines, Microwave ovens and a lot of other giveaways. We have received overwhelming response from the channel partners for this Diwali event.
What are your future plan for the next 2 years.
With the growing digitization and storage demands, memory cards, SSD cards, CFexpress, and USB flash drives have become critically important in the IT industry. We are committed to producing top-quality products and making them available to the market in large quantities. The Lexar products will be made available not only in metros, but also in Tier 1 and 2 cities soon. Our pan India service network with over 100+service centers is already active via Inspirisys. We aim to offer premium products at value for money.
