Karnataka Government Releases One of the Largest Grants through IT policy under Beyond Bengaluru Mission to Vertex Managed Workspace

The Government of Karnataka, through its Department of Electronics, IT & BT, announced the release of one of the largest grants from Beyond Bengaluru mission to Vertex Managed Workspace, Mangaluru, marking a major milestone in the state’s mission to build strong technology hubs beyond Bengaluru.

The announcement was made by Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka & its department & Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), and Mr. Gurudatta Shenoy, Managing Partner, Vertex Managed Workspace.

The grant release was facilitated through close ecosystem coordination by KDEM, which continues to play a pivotal role in operationalising the Beyond Bengaluru growth and execution strategy across Karnataka’s emerging technology hubs, including Mangaluru.

Beyond Bengaluru is a growth and execution Strategy

Addressing the media, Shri Priyank Kharge, Honble Minister for Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka said, “BB is Growth and Execution strategy, This milestone represents one of the first and largest grants under the Beyond Bengaluru MISSION to a workspace operator outside Bengaluru. By backing enterprise-grade workspace platforms in emerging cities, we are creating new engines of employment and innovation. Vertex’s scale and long-term commitment in Mangaluru reflect exactly the kind of impact-driven growth Karnataka is aiming to enable. As this cluster houses over 10+ GCCs currently, over 1 mil grade A buildings under construction & in the last 24 months we have housed over 40+ companies generating over 8000 new jobs & more, we see Mangaluru as a strategic contributor to national growth story.”

Dr. N. Manjula IAS, Secretary, Dept of IT Bt, Government of Karnataka added, “We see our clusters contributing close to 10% digital economy to State’s GDP in the next 5 years. It’s important to support growth at all levels and keep encouraging industry to leverage the State policies. We are happy to see the growth of Vertex in Mangaluru and will continue to work with them & industry at large to achieve our common goals.”

KDEM: Translating Policy into Regional IT Growth

The Department of Electronics, IT & BT, KDEM, and Vertex Managed Workspace reiterated their shared vision of building a geographically balanced and inclusive digital economy by decentralising IT infrastructure, enabling enterprise expansion, and creating high-quality employment across Karnataka.

KDEM has been instrumental in turning the Beyond Bengaluru mission into reality through infrastructure enablement, enterprise outreach, and ecosystem building across emerging tech clusters.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO, KDEM said, “This shall be a story for other emerging tech cities to emulate and join hands with govt to create a next wave of tech clusters supporting the Beyond Bengaluru framework. Vertex Managed Workspace has emerged as the one of the impactful managed workspace platforms in Mangaluru. Beyond infrastructure, Vertex has helped create a full enterprise ecosystem, enabling global companies, GCCs, and technology firms to establish and scale operations with confidence.”
