Intex Technologies, founded in 1996, is a trusted Indian electronics powerhouse, delivering affordable and innovative solutions across consumer durables, IT, lifestyle products, and advanced security technologies.
During an exclusive interaction with NCN Magazine, Mr. Ashish Srivastava, Vertical Head – Security & Surveillance, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd., shares insights on new vertical, Make in India, products, certifications, and service.
What drove Intex to launch its Security & Surveillance vertical?
Intex has a strong legacy in consumer electronics, IT peripherals, and TVs. Entering security and surveillance was a strategic move to address evolving market needs. We officially started this vertical around six months ago, leveraging our brand trust, distribution strength, and understanding of consumer and enterprise requirements.
What products are currently part of this new vertical?
Our portfolio is quite comprehensive. We offer biometric attendance systems with robust, user-friendly software, PoE-enabled solutions, routers, HD and IP cameras, and Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs). The idea is to provide an integrated ecosystem rather than isolated products.
How strong is Intex’s focus on Make in India?
Make in India is central to our strategy. We assemble our products at our factories in Jammu and Noida. This not only ensures quality control but also enables faster service, better customization, and stronger support for Indian manufacturing.
What differentiates your biometric solutions in a competitive market?
Having spent over 15 years in this industry, I understand dealer and customer pain points. Our biometric hardware is extremely reliable—once installed, it performs consistently. The software is intuitive and robust, reducing operational challenges for end users.
Service is often a challenge in this industry. How does Intex address it?
Service is our biggest USP. We have over 450 service centers across India. This PAN-India presence gives our partners and customers confidence that support is always accessible.
Can you share an update on certifications and government readiness?
We have applied for STQC certification for our 2.4MP and 5MP IP cameras and expect approval within the next two to three months. All our biometric products are already listed on the GeM portal, with vendor assessment completed. Government buyers can easily procure our biometrics, speakers, and IFPDs through GeM.
What is your long-term vision for this vertical?
Our goal is to build a trusted, end-to-end security and surveillance portfolio backed by strong manufacturing, reliable products, and unmatched service—making Intex a preferred brand in this segment.
