Aruba, a brand of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), is a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions for enterprises of all sizes worldwide. The brand delivers IT solutions that empower organizations to serve the latest generation of mobile-savvy users who rely on cloud-based business apps for different aspects of their work and personal lives. In an interaction with NCN, Santhanu Ghose, Director, Aruba Network, shares their brand’s philosophy and market strategy.

Santhanu Ghose explains, “Today basic connectivity in the offices, universities, as well as in homes, is shifting towards wireless and security has become a factor paramount importance. Security is at the heart of Aruba’s networking products and we ensure that all our wireless networking products are secured in the best possible way. Another trend in the networking space now is datacenters are becoming more and more cloud-based and the edge-computing is becoming the practice of the day. Currently our special focus is on providing unique service where our products come with system of special sensors, which we call users, that continuously records the application performance, latency, etc and communicates to the cloud. This feature helps the user to identify any anomaly and choose the appropriate intervention. This we call self-willing and self-optimizing network feature making the issue-resolution and network management much easier, which is otherwise a complex task.”

Aruba believes in the principle of customer first, customer last, where Aruba’s relationships start and end with the customers, transactions come later. With Aruba’s next-generation network devices that are software-defined, secure and designed for mobile and IoT, users will benefit from the best of both worlds: amazing experience with unbelievable simplicity.

Taking about their USPs, Santhanu Ghose briefs, “We have introduced another security feature UEBA (User and End-Point Behavioral Analytics) platform which helps to track the insider attacks and recover lost credentials. This helps to track when a device, entity or a user behaves inappropriately. If a device or connection or user is found behave in an inappropriate manner, that can be disconnected from the network and then be probed why that device or entity behave in such a way. In the rapidly expanding digitalization this is a big step forward in ensuring security with clarity. In the light of more and more IoT devices being used by companies and enterprises, this feature is going to play an important and useful role.”

About the upcoming 5G and the buzz surrounding it, Santhanu Ghose briefs, “The 5G is not a factor on its own, rather it will depend on several intervening factors. The 5G will be a more content-driven rather than a voice-driven network. Now the question is how to make the network jitter-free to ensure smooth and comfortable consumption of the ever-increasing content consumption. The 5G is coming but how it is going to reach the rural areas where networks are weak remains a question. Part of this problem can be solved by ensuring better signal transfer to the wi-fi networks. At Aruba, we aim to provide solutions that will bridge this gap and improve the quality as well as speed of content transmission across networks.”
