Fortinet was named ‘Network Security Vendor of the Year’ at Frost & Sullivan’s 2019 India ICT Awards, held in New Delhi. Currently, in its 17th year, the awards banquet witnessed the participation of leading personalities and companies from the ICT sector and honored companies that demonstrated breakthrough best practices and set global benchmarks for technologies expected to catalyze and transform industries in the future. This year, 41 awards were presented across three categories: Enterprise Infrastructure, Emerging Services, and Enterprise Telecom Services.

Congratulating Fortinet on the award, Benoy CS, Vice President, Digital Transformation Practice, Frost & Sullivan said, “Managing network security has always been a challenge for enterprises. The security landscape has changed at a fast pace over the last few years, where traditional signature-based attacks have been replaced by non-signature based threats. Due to a lack of visibility into the network and appropriate security tools, enterprises find it challenging to manage these threats. Today, enterprises need security vendors who provide threat detection and prevention with accuracy and do not compromise on business performance. Fortinet has been one of the most dependable security vendors in the network security segment, which has products for Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) and UTM, and deserved the award.”

“We are delighted to be recognized as a leading cyber security vendor in the Indian market for the fourth time in the last five years. Fortinet has a strong business presence with a well-established ecosystem of partners and service providers supporting customers to get ahead of threats as edge-based networking is replacing the traditional perimeter. This recognition further endorses our investments in cyber security skill training, R&D with more than 100 patents registered from India, professional services, customer support and security solutions that support open standards. We will continue our mission to provide high-performance, integrated security solutions for Indian organizations and providers of all sizes,” said Rajesh Maurya, Regional Vice President, India & SAARC, Fortinet.
