In an interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Rajesh Chopra, Founder & Managing Director, bluei, shares their company’s Make in India policy, market strategy and future plans.
Mr. Rajesh Chopra shares, “In 2009, we launched bluei as a mobile accessories brand. In 2012, we added CCTV cameras and in 2015, car accessories to our portfolio. At present, we have over 1500 products in our productline. Our CCTV cameras have special software which can record the number of a vehicle that enters a premise and prepare the entry bill as it enters, and also record the vehicle’s entry and exit timings. Among cameras, we have analog camera, HD camera and solar cameras. The solar cameras can charge themselves during the day and operate in night without external power supply and these are very useful where power availability is low or power interruptions are regular. We also have a video conferencing camera which is an excellent tool for remote conferencing. We added highly efficient 4G CPE compatible routers to our productline which are very useful to those working from home.”

Talking about their manufacturing infrastructure and support team, Mr. Rajesh Chopra adds, “We have our state-of-the-art R&D department and production facility covering 1000 sq mtrs with 6 assembly lines and we are trying to Make in India as many products as possible. For example, we are making CCTV cameras and car accessories in India which we sell under our own brand name bluei and also offer the same to other OEMs which they can sell under their own brand names. We take continuous feedback from the customers and try to bring out the best quality products at the most affordable prices. Our brand Mantra is quality plus competitive pricing. We have an excellent staff led by our Business Development Manager and Relationship Manager who visit different regions and cities, meet partners periodically and assess what products and backup support they need, and try to service their requests. Right now our focus is on the north Indian states of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP, etc. Soon, we will be expanding into south India region.”
