HCL Infosystems appoints Premkumar Seshadri as Executive Vice-Chairman

hcl_premkumarHCL Infosystems Ltd. announced the appointment of Premkumar Seshadri as Executive Vice Chairman of the Company. Premkumar has been serving as a non-executive director on the HCL Infosystems board since March 2014.

Announcing the appointment, Dr. Nikhil Sinha, Chairman of the Board of HCL Infosystems Ltd. said, “Prem is a senior HCL Leader with deep expertise and experience in the IT industry. I’m confident he will add great value to the long-term strategic growth plans of HCL Infosystems and further strengthen the Company’s management depth during this period of transformation for the Company.”

Commenting on his new role, Premkumar said, “My earlier stints at HCL were truly exciting and fulfilling and I am excited to be back in the Group as Executive Vice Chairman of HCL Infosystems.  The Company is going through an important transformation of its business as it repositions itself for the next stage of growth. I look forward to working with the board and the executive team to help guide the Company to scale greater heights in the future.”

Prior to returning to HCL, Premkumar was the Group CEO of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., where he worked closely with the Board on the Group’s transformation initiatives including its go-to-market strategy, customer experience, strategic partnerships and globalization. Prior to Apollo Hospitals, he had held important leadership positions at HCL where he was one of the key business leaders of the Group.

During his 25 years at HCL he held leadership positions in HCL Limited, HCL Frontline and HCL Technologies. At HCL Technologies, Premkumar headed the over $1 billion dollars in revenue Financial Services and Healthcare verticals along with corporate alliances, partnerships and global expansion.
Premkumar is a much sought after speaker in Industry circles and has been actively involved with the World Economic Forum, where he was part of the Global Council on Talent Mobility and Diversity.
