Mr. Sulalit Gupta, Director, Global Systems

Could you tell us about Global Systems and its journey in the AV solutions market?

Global Systems has been a player in the B2B solutions market for the past 25 years. We specialize in a wide range of products, and our focus for InfoComm 2024 is on interactive flat panels, mounting systems, trollies, HDMI cables, USB active cables for cameras, networking racks, projector screens, and more. We are primarily a trading company, sourcing our products both domestically and internationally. Since the shift to remote work, the demand for IT-related products has grown exponentially, and we’ve witnessed substantial growth in our business.

What does your market presence look like in India?

Our primary focus is B2B, and we have built a strong network of channel partners across India, spanning from Jammu & Kashmir to Kerala and Cochin. While we have a relatively small direct customer base, our main strength lies in our extensive channel partnerships. This allows us to cater to a broad market, ensuring that our products reach every corner of the country.

How do you handle product support and after-sales service for your customers?

We have a dedicated service team that guides our channel partners in providing after-sales support. For instance, with our interactive flat panels, we supply spare parts such as motherboards and power boards, allowing our channel partners to offer repairs at their customer’s location. The panel market is unique, with sizes ranging from 55 inches to 110 inches. Currently, we offer 65-inch, 75-inch, and 86-inch panels, and while the 98-inch option is a bit expensive right now, we plan to introduce it by InfoComm 2025.

Could you share some insights into Global Systems’ growth over the years?

Global Systems began its journey in 1991 with ribbon refilling and later expanded into computer-related products like floppy drives and continuous stationery. By 1996, we started importing items, though it was challenging at the time. Over the last 33 years, we have matured, expanded, and now operate with the involvement of our second generation. The market is vast, and as long as companies focus on delivering quality products and services, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to succeed.

Mr. Akshit Gupta, CEO, Global Systems

Could you tell us about your latest product launch at InfoComm 2024?

We have just launched a new product—Fresnel PET ALR Screens—which works with Ultra Short-Throw Projectors. The beauty of this screen is that it blocks light from three sides while reflecting light only from the bottom. This feature allows for a superior viewing experience, even in environments with high ambient light, like this exhibition setup. It offers the clarity of a television screen, and I can even show you a demo of how it works.

How does this product enhance the viewing experience, and what sizes are available?

The Fresnel PET ALR screen is perfect for living room theaters where people want to enjoy a luxurious, high-quality 4K viewing experience with natural light. It’s available in three sizes—100 inches, 101 inches, and 110 inches. This fabric is a patented technology, and the screen itself provides a premium, glare-free experience even in well-lit environments. It’s ideal for urban homes in metro cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, where customers are looking for both functionality and style.

How do you see the market for this product in India, and what kind of warranty do you offer?

With rising incomes and growing disposable income in metro cities, we are optimistic about the demand for high-end home theater solutions like our Fresnel screens and Ultra Short-Throw Projectors. The trend towards larger, more luxurious viewing experiences is certainly on the rise. We offer a one-year comprehensive warranty on all our products, and our service teams, along with our channel partners, handle warranty claims across India. Physical damage is not covered, but for technical issues, we provide full support.

Can you tell us about any upcoming innovations you plan to introduce in the Indian market?

As a company, we are always on the lookout for new technologies, especially in the AV, signage, and display markets. We are continually exploring commercially viable solutions that we can bring to India. Research and development are key focuses for us, and we are committed to introducing cutting-edge products that cater to the evolving needs of our customers.

How do you see the future of Global Systems?

The market is growing, and we are confident in our ability to keep expanding and serving our customers. Our focus will remain on quality products and exceptional service. As our second generation takes the reins, we are excited to continue innovating and contributing to the AV hardware industry in India and beyond.
