In an exclusive interaction with NCN Magazine, Mr. Eric Zou, Sr. VP and Global Sales Director, TPV Technology (the brand holder of AOC), shares insights from his two-decade journey across global brands, evolving markets and leadership milestones, revealing how experience, innovation and vision continue to shape his growth story. AOC is a global brand in IT peripherals and consumer electronics. With over two decades in consumer electronics, how did your journey first start?
My journey started at China Sanyo Audio Group, where I spent six years building my foundation in audio sales. It was a phase of active learning—understanding consumer needs, market shifts, and the discipline required to grow in a highly competitive industry. Those early years shaped my passion for electronics and set the tone for everything that followed.
What shaped your leadership during your time at Philips?
Philips was a transformative chapter. Over twelve years, I managed evolving portfolios across Audio, TV, Audio-Video accessories, and IT accessories. The dynamic nature of the brand allowed me to gain end-to-end exposure—from product strategy and channel development to distribution and market expansion. It strengthened my ability to handle multi-category businesses and respond swiftly to technological trends.
What was your main focus at Logitech’s largest distributor in China?
At the distributor, I worked across commercial operations, ensuring that Logitech’s products reached the right partners and markets with precision. This period coincided with ten years of uninterrupted sales growth for Logitech’s keyboards, mice, and accessories in China. Being part of that growth journey was both challenging and rewarding, as it required agility, operational excellence, and deep channel coordination.
In 2024, what does your new TPV-authorized global role signify for you?
It represents a leap toward global consolidation and brand expansion. Currently, I lead the global sales business for Philips IT accessories, AOC-branded IT accessories, and Headphone/Audio products. The goal is to unify global operations, strengthen the brand footprint, and capture new opportunities across emerging and mature markets.
What excites you most about the current phase of the business?
The consumer electronics ecosystem is evolving fast—driven by hybrid work, gaming, and smart living. Our focus is on building products and experiences that match modern customer expectations. Leading this transformation at a global scale is an exciting responsibility.
What is your vision for the future?
To make our brands synonymous with quality, innovation, and reliability worldwide. We aim to expand global partnerships, introduce stronger product pipelines, and deliver consistent value to customers, distributors, and end-users.
Strategic Partnerships of TPV for AOC range of products in the Indian market
Tiitan Group of Companies, Promoted by Mr. Piyush Sharma, has been appointed for Manufacturing, Distribution, Marketing & Services for complete range of products under the AOC brand including gaming cabinets, SMPS, coolers, gaming keyboards, mice, memory modules, and SSDs. This appointment is for 8 years, with contractual obligations in place in tranches of 3 years. AOC has given Tiitan Sales, distribution & e-commerce rights in the following territories: India, SAARC Nations (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh); Middle East; North America – USA, Canada, Mexico; UK and Ireland; Africa Continent; and Russia & CIS Nations).
