Q. Please brief ViewSonic’s growth journey in India.
ViewSonic entered the Indian market almost a decade ago and expanded to grow significantly. By achieving several milestones, the organisation has increased the brand recall among its target consumers. ViewSonic has developed goods that embed with the latest technology and suit the demands of users by establishing its foothold with numerous unique tech-enabled items. Under our projectors and monitors segment, we have been expanding and growing our product portfolio. Additionally, we are also aiming to establish our position as the leading edtech solution provider since the launch of myViewBoard in India.
The Indian market is one of the most promising marketplaces. We entered the Indian market aggressively almost a decade ago and, we have seen our product portfolio growing exponentially. We have introduced portable to lamp-free projectors, gaming and touch-screen monitors, and integrated hardware and software solutions for ed-tech.
Q. Share ViewSonic’s overview of 2021 and strategy and aims for 2022.
The year 2021 has been one of the most successful years for us in terms of driving our brand resonance high in the Indian market. Despite the pandemic, our growth rate was significant, and we witnessed three times the growth in terms of turnover. In 2021, we unveiled new products and added new features to existing ones across all of our categories, from projectors to ViewBoard series to gaming and professional monitors. As a result, all of our products garnered considerable attention in the Indian market.
Furthermore, since 2020, we continued to hold our position as No. 1 IFP brand and attained a market share of 55.1% in the year 2021. In the same year, we also ranked No. 1 in the LED Projector segment and captured the LED market with a 65.71% share. We also secured our position in the top three DLP Projector Providers.
As the growth propelled, we witnessed a significant rise in demand for our products, adding more resources to strengthen our team. Having seen our success in 2021, we are working harder this year to develop a comparable and larger approach. The Indian market has been one of the most important markets for us. Establishing our presence as one of the leading audio-visual solution provider, we are also creating and strengthening our footprints in the edtech sector. Witnessing a significant shift in the education industry towards technology, we are aiming to capture the market exponentially.
In order to provide the consumers a first-hand experience, we recently launched our First Experience Zone in New Delhi, India. The zone will enable our customers and dealers to view all our products offerings under one roof from audio-visual and edtech solutions. Similarly, we intend to open more experience zones in other major cities allowing our solutions to be available for everyone.

Q. Explain ViewSonic’s contribution to hybrid learning post-Covid in India.
The emergence of the pandemic led to the awakening of hybrid learning. With the help of digitization and modifications, hybrid model flourished during COVID-19. Technology had taken over the education business, but one of the most difficult was transitioning traditional teaching and adapting to online/ hybrid teaching.
The hybrid learning model became the new trend in education industry. Being an ed-tech solution provider, we are here to reshape the future of education. We develop innovative edtech solutions catering to both educators and learners. We offer a wide range of edtech products such as ViewBoard series, Woodpad for students, ViewBoard Pen Display that helps teachers and students to interact with each other seamlessly.

It also enables educators to be more equipped for uncertainty by seamlessly transitioning between physical and digital environments, whether students are in the classroom, online or both. In addition, ViewSonic expands its product portfolio through innovative product strategy and technological advancement solutions by adding new and innovative ed-tech products and solutions.
In our experience zone, we are also giving an opportunity to our users to experience, Hybrid Learning Classroom. Our ergonomically designed projectors and monitors also assist teachers in controlling the view and conducting activities with students.
In addition, we assist in the evolution of user-friendly learning and accessibility to teaching via hybrid solutions through an integrated mix of hardware and software solutions as well as with our ergonomics monitors and projectors.
Q. What new technology trends do you see in AV and the EdTech industry in India, and how ViewSonic is leveraging these trends?
The audio-visual industry is seeing a significant transition with technology implementation and a shift in consumer behaviour. Technology has boosted the AV and ed-tech industry globally, leading many players to create their niche in these segments. Being an AV and ed-tech solution provider, we at ViewSonic took up this immense challenge to develop, innovate, and upgrade our products depending on the industry and consumer needs. Therefore, it is crucial to cover diversity and dynamics in all our segments.

Q. Where do you want ViewSonic to be in the next two years?
The next two years will be critical in preserving and sustaining our position as a leading provider of audio-visual and ed-tech solutions. We anticipate similar growth in the next months based on the expansion and demand for our products and solutions. This year, we will introduce and enhance products to meet the needs of our customers. Furthermore, from a business standpoint, we are aggressively expanding our operations in other locations in India.
