It is quite heartening and exciting to know that Digital Live Services, led my Mr. Virender Singh Panesar, has grown up to manufacturing world-class digital classroom hardware in India and their company is growing so fast in the market where several big brands tried to make inroads but failed. Not only that Digital Live Services manufactures world-class educational hardware but also provides software at affordable prices.

Let understand to him in his own words.

Mr. Virender Singh Panesar, CEO & Founder, Digital Live Services, a fastgrowing Make in India company which is into providing innovative, way-to-use, value-for-money Digital Education IT Hardware Products & Solutions like OPS, Mini & All in One PCs, Interactive Flat Panels, Mannat Software for Digital Whiteboards.

“Before we started Digital Live Services, I used to watch elementary school students carrying heavy school bags loaded with many books and I noticed that these students were spending more energy to carry those heavy bags than they spend on studying and learning.

That really pinched me. Then I got the idea that digitization could reduce this deadweight they carry and release their energies to focus on learning.

To aid this transformation, we then started our venture to supply the hardware for the first smart classroom in India. Educom installed the India’s first digital classroom somewhere around 1996.

Unfortunately, little progress was made during last 28 years in establishing these digital classrooms on a wider scale in India.

The digital content available to the students on the currently available apps and systems is still of mediocre quality and level. In many cases, there are digital classrooms in several schools in India but they are not being used because there is no proper content or hardware and in many cases they do see any benefit from them.

In order to fulfill my dream of providing effective educational solutions, we started installing digital classrooms in 2016 using our own innovative ways. Initially, we did not get enough positive response from the schools despite giving hundreds of demos but starting with Covid-19 in 2020, our business rapidly picked up and now we are installing thousands of digital classrooms each year. Today, Digital Live Services has 35% market share in the digital classroom in the Indian market.

Next, at present, only 5% classrooms in India are digitized and 95% are still to go digital which implies the big unexplored market and immense opportunity. Initially, we were importing all the hardware from abroad, but now we are making most of the hardware in India itself. We already have one manufacturing plant for hardware and soon we will have one bigger plant which will start production in early 2025.

We use world-class machinery and highly qualified technocrats in our factories. Many brands entered this market and then left for good, but we survived, grew and flourished. Our ambition is to digitize as many classrooms in India as possible in the coming years with the best hardware and software at affordable prices.

We are able to digitize one classroom for Rs. 80,000 whereas others are charging Rs. 2 lakhs for the same. We already exporting to Gulf countries with an office in Dubai, and we have recently set up an office in Europe and will soon start exporting to Europe.
