In an exclusive interview with NCN magazine, Mr. Krushna Garkhede, Head of Marketing at Digisol Systems, discusses the Digisol’s policies, channel focus, future outlook, and growth path, shedding light on the key aspects shaping the company’s trajectory.
Please brief us about yourself.
Digisol is India’s first IT networking brand, which has been in the market for 15 years. The founder of Digisol Mr. K.R. Naik has been in the market for the last 50 years including manufacturing IT networking products. Over the past three years, Digisol has strategically grown across all product categories—Fiber-to-Home, Switching, Structured Cabling, and Wireless. Notably, we’ve completely Indianized the production of Fiber-to-Home products, Structured Cabling, operating out of Goa. The strong preference for our Made in India products has significantly contributed to our success.
Which market segment are you focusing on currently?
While Digisol has presence in various market segments. Our recent emphasis has been on aggressively targeting the channel segment. We’ve enhanced our retail visibility and experienced substantial growth. Simultaneously, Digisol remains a robust solution provider in the enterprise segment, undertaking major projects for government entities and corporate clients.
How many products are you manufacturing in India?
Our parent company, Smartlink Holdings, established in India in the 1990s, has been at the forefront of manufacturing. Currently, we operate two independent business units: Digisol which is a Sales Marketing & Service Brand and SYNEGRA EMS which does Manufacturing of IT Networking Products. Spanning 1,10,000 Sq. ft. acres, producing structured cabling solutions, fiber-to-the-home products, and various electronic components. We’ve significant market share growth in North, while regions like West and East have also contributed to our success.
As a channel-oriented company, what specific regions or partners are you focusing on?
In terms of our channel focus, we are intensifying efforts to expand in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, while maintaining our dominance in the West. Looking ahead, in 2024, we plan to concentrate more on the Southern region, rejuvenating our relationships with the channel and unveiling new, feature-oriented products.
