AVer Information delivers innovative visual communication solutions that connect people, empower collaboration, and transform education and business experiences. During an exclusive interaction with NCN Magazine, Mr. Debraj Dam, Chief of VAD, Supertron VAD Venture; and Mr. Paul Hsu, Lead of Sales Enablement / Technical Training Manager, AVer Information, share insights into India’s market potential, evolving customer requirements, AI-driven solutions, and AVer’s growth strategy.
How do you view India’s growth potential, and which market segments offer the strongest opportunities for AVer?
Mr. Paul Hsu: India is a very large and rapidly growing market, and customers are increasingly willing to adopt innovative technologies across different applications. Whether it is education, healthcare, enterprise communication or professional conferencing, users are looking for better devices, peripherals and integrated solutions that can improve their overall experience.
AVer has capabilities across multiple application areas, including video conferencing, professional solutions, classroom technologies and medical applications. This enables us to address diverse requirements across the Indian market. We believe India has strong long-term potential, and we are looking forward to contributing to its technology growth through innovative solutions and close collaboration with our partners.
How would you describe Supertron’s partnership with AVer and its role in strengthening AVer’s presence in India?
Mr. Debraj Dam: We have been working closely with AVer for almost five years, and the relationship has developed into a strong and long-term partnership. As the value-added distribution partner, Supertron is working across AVer’s four major business areas: USB-based video conferencing solutions, professional product lines, classroom solutions and medical product lines.
We see significant opportunities in India, particularly as enterprises, government organisations, educational institutions and healthcare providers continue to invest in technology. Our role is not limited to distribution. We work closely with AVer on market development, customer engagement, demonstrations, solution discussions and channel support. Another important area is government business. We are working closely with AVer on onboarding its solutions onto the Government e-Marketplace, or GeM, which is an important platform for government procurement in India. This can help make the solutions more accessible to government customers.
Which market segments do you believe will create the strongest opportunities for AVer in India?
Mr. Debraj Dam: We see opportunities across several segments. Enterprise and global capability centres are important because international organisations establishing or expanding operations in India require modern meeting rooms, boardrooms and collaboration infrastructure. We have already worked on enterprise projects, and this segment continues to offer opportunities. The professional AV market is another important area, including corporate communication, education and specialised applications. Healthcare is also becoming increasingly significant. Medical professionals, hospitals and specialised healthcare facilities are looking for advanced imaging and communication technologies.
We also see an emerging opportunity in veterinary healthcare and pet hospitals. This is a growing global trend, and we believe India can also develop significantly in this area. Medical imaging and camera technologies can support professionals in different healthcare environments. At the same time, India remains a price-sensitive market. Therefore, we are working closely with AVer’s management team to understand local requirements and develop commercially suitable approaches without compromising on technology and quality.
How is AVer responding to the increasing demand for AI-enabled solutions?
Mr. Paul Hsu: AI is becoming an important part of the overall collaboration experience. Customers are no longer looking only for cameras or individual devices; they want intelligent solutions that can understand the environment and make communication easier. For example, AI-based framing can automatically identify participants and provide a more effective view during meetings. AI voice detection can also identify where a speaker is located, enabling the camera system to respond naturally without requiring users to manually configure camera positions. This type of intelligence can make conferencing more immersive and convenient. Our objective is to combine advanced hardware with intelligent technologies so that customers can have a simpler and more effective communication experience.
How important is the medical segment for AVer’s future growth?
Mr. Paul Hsu: Medical is an important area because healthcare professionals increasingly require high-quality visual communication and imaging. AVer is developing solutions specifically designed for medical environments, where flexibility, image quality and ease of use are critical. Our approach is to provide technologies that can adapt to different healthcare scenarios. This includes applications where doctors need to examine specific areas closely or communicate visual information with other professionals. We believe intelligent camera technologies can support better collaboration and workflow across healthcare environments.
What role will channel partners play in AVer’s India growth strategy?
Mr. Debraj Dam: Channel partners will be extremely important. India is a large and diverse market, and no single organisation can address every customer requirement independently. Partners, consultants, system integrators and technology specialists play an important role in identifying opportunities and providing the right solutions. We encourage our partners and customers to engage with the Supertron and AVer teams for demonstrations, technical discussions and solution requirements. Our objective is to create stronger engagement throughout the ecosystem and help partners build sustainable business opportunities.
What is your vision for AVer and Supertron in the Indian market?
Mr. Paul Hsu: We see a strong future for India and believe the market will continue adopting innovative technologies across multiple sectors. Our partnership with Supertron is an important part of this journey, and we look forward to building the relationship further.
Mr. Debraj Dam: The market is growing, the technology is becoming increasingly AI-driven, and AVer has a strong portfolio to address multiple applications. We look forward to working more closely with customers, consultants and partners, expanding market reach and creating new opportunities together. Our focus is on building a long-term relationship that delivers value to the entire ecosystem.
