AMD launched the full feature-set for FSR “Redstone” following the initial roll-out of Ray Regeneration in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in November.

FSR “Redstone” is a major evolution for AMD upscaling tech, bringing machine-learning powered upscaling and frame generation to gamers via the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.12.1 driver update that went live today.

AMD FSR “Redstone” features include:

  • FSR Ray Regeneration: Uses a neural network to clean up noisy ray-traced reflections and shadows before upscaling and interpolation. Currently supported in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 with more titles coming soon.
  • FSR Radiance Caching: Predicts light behavior to accelerate ray-tracing performance while maintaining visual fidelity. Available now for developers on GPUOpen and coming to games in 2026.
  • FSR Upscaling and Frame Generation: Building on success from FSR 3.1, FSR continues to lean on innovative machine learning to deliver impressive image quality on AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series GPUs.
