The 7th CII International Energy Conference & Exhibition (IECE 2026) concluded on a high note at Hotel Le Meridien, Janpath, New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, global energy leaders, industry experts, technology innovators, and international delegations to accelerate India’s clean energy transition. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the two-day event was held under the theme “Transitioning with Energy Security – The New Global Order.”
At a time when global energy markets continue to face geopolitical uncertainties and supply chain disruptions, the conference highlighted the importance of building resilient, sustainable, and technology-driven energy ecosystems. The discussions aligned with India’s ambitious goals of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047, and net-zero emissions by 2070.
The conference focused on four strategic pillars shaping the future of the global energy landscape:

The event attracted international delegations from over 20 countries, including Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Brazil, while several Indian states such as Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, and Assam actively participated, reinforcing the importance of global and inter-state collaboration in advancing clean energy initiatives.
The conference featured an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers and policymakers, including Hon. Anura Karunathilaka, Minister of Energy, Government of Sri Lanka; HE Lyonpo Gem Tshering, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Government of Bhutan; Mr. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha; Mr. Manu Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary (New & Renewable Energy), Government of Madhya Pradesh; Dr. K.
