In an attempt to get connected with the untapped markets, GIGABYTE is spreading its wings through its various channel programs and meets. These programs are aimed at educating and informing potential partners and resellers on GIGABYTE products, and to further strengthen their presence in the upcountry market. “We have been initiating a string of interesting schemes for our channel to encourage them and engage with them on a continuous basis. Our main focus is to increase their market share,” said, Sharma.
 
In July 2010, Gigabyte announced the “5 Million Salebration Program” for its channel partners. The new channel incentive program from Gigabyte was designed to deliver benefits to both its value partners and premium partners. Under this program, channel partners who purchased motherboards from GIGABYTE premium partners or authorized distributors stood to win exciting & attractive prizes. This scheme was in line with Gigabyte’s 2 tier channel structure program for its value and premium partners. This program coincided with Gigabyte India reaching 5 million installed bases of their motherboards in India.

 “Channel partners are very important to us. Through these channel programmes we want to encourage participation from all channel segments in metros & non-metros, especially in untapped markets to ensure good business overall. We hope the attractive schemes will help expand our present base of registered value partners & also provide platform to our Premium Partners to ensure spread & penetration in new customer base,” said, Sharma.

GIGABYTE is presently scouting for channel partners who are technically savvy, quality conscious, long term investors, financially strong, with good product knowledge and are eager to grow with the company.
GIGABYTE has been actively involved in promoting its products among channel partners and customers. The company is focusing on promoting its products’ No. 1 attributes among its partners and organizing technical trainings on the same. The company has organized technical seminars, channel meet, dealer meet, road shows and other promotional programs in different cities to educate and train the channel partners.

“These regular channel programs are essential as important product information and latest technologies are put on prominent display at the meets thereby ensuring prompt feedback from partners. The Dealer meet is also part of our Channel programs to strengthen the relationship with our resellers in the cities. It will educate and empower our existing channel partners which will enable us to get closer to our end users,” said Sharma.
